Following my solo show 'Home from Home' at Frestonian Gallery, I have focused on the rich blues of Delftware within my latest cup paintings. Exploring chance encounters and the traditions of welcome, these works have taken on a new poignancy as we all yearn to simply share time with our friends and family. I imported the  textures in my Delftone pieces from large impasto abstracts I've been making recently - I've enjoyed bringing a dynamic and vigorous approach to such physically delicate subject matter.
