Once again, I'm taking on the Strada easel challenge to rekindle some of the classical skills honed in the first half of my career.
My larger works are often created over time, using a combination of source materials, sketches, notes, photographs, memory and imagination. By contrast, these intimate compositions are observed from daily life in one sitting. They explore disparate personal objects that give a small snapshot into my world. I've found this exercise is a a great way to get focused for the year ahead, opening up unexpected avenues and opportunities
